Privacy policy relating to the website

Preamble

Access to and use of the website http://www.axson-group.com/ (the "Website"), as defined in the terms of use and access to the Website, give rise to processing of personal data. In this respect, AXSON SAS ("Axson") undertakes to respect the data protection and privacy rights of the users of the Website (the "Users") in accordance with the provisions of French Law n°78-17 of 6 January 1978 relating to computers, files and the protection of individual liberties as amended by law n°2004-801 of 6 August 2004 relating to the protection of natural persons with regards to the processing of their personal data ("French Data Protection Law").

1. Protection of personal data

1.1 Data controller

The data controller is AXSON SAS, Tour Egee - 9/11 Allee de l’Arche - Courbevoie Cedex - 92671 Paris La Defense.

1.2 Categories of data processed

As part of the access to and use of the Website, Axson may need to collect the following personal data relating to the User:

  • Professional contact details (surname, first name, email address);
  • Information relating to the position of the User in his / her company;
  • Information provided as part of any request for contact or information;
  • Connection data and technical information (IP address, domain name, time and duration of the visit, pages and documents downloaded, previously visited websites and type of browser used); and
  • Information allowing the enhancement of the use of the Website, including information identifying the products and services which fit the best the User's needs.

1.3 Purposes of the processing

Subject to the application of Article 4 below, Axson shall process the data listed above in a strictly confidential manner and exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Allowing Users to contact Axson;
  • Facilitating the maintenance of the Website and remedying potential problems relating to the access to or use of the Website;
  • Sending any communications and commercial solicitations (newsletters, press releases, advertisements, promotional offers, etc.) to the User, if applicable; and
  • Optimizing the offering of Axson services and products offered via the Website or otherwise.

1.4 Transfer of data

In the sole context of the purposes described in Article 1.3 above, the information relating to the User may be accessed by the companies of the Axson Group, provided that strict security controls are implemented. Some of the companies of the Axson are located outside the European Economic Area. When transferring data to these companies, Axson undertakes to implement reasonable measures to ensure that the recipient provides an adequate level of protection to personal data.

Data relating to the User shall not be communicated to any other party outside the group without informing the User and, if necessary, obtaining his / her consent prior to any such communication. However Axson shall disclose information relating to the User without informing him / her or obtaining his / her prior consent where provided for by law or if such disclosure is necessary in order to comply with legal or regulatory obligations imposed upon Axson.

1.5 Rights of the Users

Pursuant to French Data Protection Law, the User has a right to access, modify, update and delete the personal data relating to him / her. The User is also entitled to oppose, for legitimate reasons, the processing of his / her personal data.

1.6 Cookies

Axson uses cookies in order to identify Users' preferences and enhance the access to and the use of the Website. Cookies are small data files placed temporarily on the local hard drive of the User. Cookies cannot run any program or spread any virus in the User's computer.

The User has a right, under the conditions of Article 1.5 above, to access, modify or delete his / her personal data disclosed via the use of cookies.

2. Hyperlinks

The Website may include links to other websites which are not under Axson's control and which are not covered by this privacy policy. If the User accesses other websites via the links provided, the operators of these websites may collect information regarding the User, which they will use in accordance with their own privacy policy. The privacy policy of third parties' websites may be different from Axson's and the User should ensure that the privacy policy in question respects his / her rights, as Axson is not responsible for processing implemented by third parties.

3. Security measures

Axson has implemented technical and organisational measures aimed at maintaining the security of the User information and to protect such information against any unauthorised handling, destruction, loss or access. Although Axson makes all reasonable efforts to maintain the confidentiality and security of the User information, electronic communications cannot be secured in an absolute manner and Axson shall not be held responsible for any disclosure of information due, in particular, to a transmission error or to non-authorised or fraudulent acts conducted by third parties.

4. Processing implemented by the User or third parties

For the purposes hereof, it shall be specified that Axson shall not be held responsible for any processing of personal data implemented by the User or third parties and made available on the Website. It is the User and third parties' exclusive responsibility to ensure that any processing of data which they implement is implemented in accordance with the legislative and regulatory provisions applicable to such processing.
